These terms are an agreement between you and NK Hardware LLC ("we", "us"), the provider of Presenter Companion ("the app"). They govern your purchase and use of the app. By buying or using the app, you agree to them.
Your purchase grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on the number of machines your plan allows (Solo: 1; Team: 5). Activation is enforced per machine; you may deactivate a machine to move your license. You may not resell, redistribute, or share your license key beyond your permitted activations.
The app requires your own OpenAI API key, which powers transcription, voice, and answers. (Anthropic and Google keys are additionally supported for answer generation on a best-effort basis.) You are responsible for your usage and charges with those providers and for complying with their terms. The app sends your content directly to the provider you configure; see our Privacy Policy. Transcription (Listen and voice) uses OpenAI, so meeting audio is sent to OpenAI regardless of the provider you choose for answers.
The app can transcribe meeting audio. Laws on recording and transcribing conversations vary by jurisdiction, and some require the consent of all parties. You are solely responsible for obtaining any required consent and for complying with all applicable laws before using the Listen feature. You warrant that you will disclose recording/transcription to participants as required. We are not liable for your use of the feature in violation of law.
Use the app for lawful purposes. Do not use it to deceive people in contexts where your own unaided knowledge is being assessed (e.g. proctored exams or interviews), or in any way that violates the rights of others or the terms of platforms you use it alongside.
How you use the app is your decision and your responsibility alone. The app runs on your own machine, under your control, on your own AI key. We have no telemetry and no visibility into how you use it; we do not monitor, supervise, approve, or control your use. You are solely responsible for your use of the app and for everything that results from it — including what you say or rely on in a meeting, whether you disclose the app to the people you are meeting with, and whether your use complies with the law and with the rules of any platform, employer, customer, school, or hiring or examination process involved. We accept no responsibility or liability for how you choose to use the app.
You indemnify us. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless NK Hardware LLC, its owners and personnel from and against any claim, demand, loss, liability, penalty, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to your use of the app or your breach of these terms.
A 3-day free trial is available before purchase. The trial is anchored to your machine, so reinstalling does not reset it. Refund requests are handled case by case — contact us through the form; a refunded or charged-back license is revoked and will stop working. We may revoke licenses obtained fraudulently.
Your purchase includes updates for one year. We may change or discontinue features; we’ll aim to give reasonable notice of material changes.
The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will work as intended, that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will keep working in your setup.
The app depends on software we do not control. It relies on Apple’s macOS (including its screen-capture and content-protection behaviour), on the meeting and collaboration apps you run it alongside (such as Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and Slack), and on your AI provider. Any of them may change, update, restrict, deprecate, or remove behaviour at any time, without notice to us. Such a change may degrade or stop any feature of the app — including the overlay staying off a shared screen — at any point after your purchase. We do not guarantee ongoing compatibility with any operating system, platform, or third-party service, and a change on their side is not a defect in the app. We are under no obligation to restore functionality that a third party changes, and no refund is owed on that basis beyond section 5.
Screen-capture exclusion depends on the other application’s capture method and is not guaranteed in every configuration (notably full-desktop shares). AI outputs can be inaccurate; you are responsible for verifying anything before relying on it, especially pricing, security, legal, or competitive claims.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
